Junior League of St. Louis New Member Open House

The Junior League of St. Louis is Recruiting New Members!

Saint Louis, MO – The Junior League of St. Louis (JLSL) is currently accepting applications for its new member class.  JLSL is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

In today’s busy world, women need the opportunity to build new skills, develop new friendships and contribute to the community.  Benefits of JLSL membership include: volunteer and leadership training, opportunities with like-minded women and community leaders, potential to serve in leadership positions, insights into community needs and the chance to make a difference in the St. Louis community.

Founded in 1914, JLSL membership draws women from the metropolitan St. Louis area.  A diverse organization, the JLSL reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. Women must be at least 21 years of age and reside within the St. Louis metropolitan area and surrounding counties.

The JLSL offers one new member class per JLSL calendar year starting in September.  The new member course provides education and training about the structure of JLSL and its role in the community, as well as the opportunity to participate in “hands-on” activities, fundraising events and numerous social activities throughout the year.  Successful completion of the program prepares new members for active membership.
