This meeting is for adults only. Lite refreshments will be served. There is no charge to attend.

Student Training Day will take place on Saturday, September 22nd at 9am – 12pm, at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Missouri.

Currently, many area high schools in St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson counties belong to this dynamic organization. High schools from the entire metropolitan area are welcome to join.

Cappies is an international, non-profit organization that recognizes the efforts and creativity of high school theatre programs around the United States and Canada.

Theatre and journalism students sign-up as a team to attend performances at other area high schools; afterward they write and submit their review electronically. Educational and theatrical professionals choose the top reviews every week, for each high school’s show. The top reviews are then published by a variety of first class publications, both in print and online.

After the season closes in April, students vote to nominate and then award other students for their outstanding achievements. A formal gala is held at an area university where the awards are presented by several theatre professionals from the St. Louis area, regionally and nationally.
