Author Event at the Library

Your Kirkwood Public Library is hosting a discussion and book signing with Vicki Berger Erwin, the author of Kirkwood:  Images of America on Tuesday, July 23 at 2 p.m. in the east end of the Reading Room at the Library.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase through Books & Beyond, The Friends’ Gift Shop, and refreshments will be served as well.  The book is a pictorial history of Kirkwood, published by Arcadia Publishing, and is part of a series of books on small communities.  Erwin (mother-in-law of Library Director Sarah Erwin) and her husband Jim are 30-year-residents of Kirkwood.  Her research and writing allowed her an opportunity to discover Kirkwood in a new and enjoyable way.  She is the author of several books, including Mexico Missouri:  Images of America and St. Charles Then and Now. All proceeds will benefit Kirkwood Public Library!
