Transfer VHS to DVD Free at Your Library

Haven't found the perfect holiday gift yet? Still have home videos on VHS or on unedited DVDs? Come to the KPL computer lab to transfer your old home movies.

We are excited to offer all our patrons the ability to transfer VHS to DVD. The equipment was a donation from the Kirkwood School District and is located in our computer lab. Feel free to pop in any time to use the equipment (as long as there isn’t a class going on).

Bring your own DVD-R and remember you can’t record any copyrighted material. An editing feature is available through iMovie so you will be able to add slides, transitions, and music to your DVD if you so desire. If your project might take you more than one day, it’s a good idea to bring a usb drive to save your project.

Haven't found the perfect holiday gift yet? Still have home videos on VHS or on unedited DVDs? Come to the KPL computer lab to transfer your old home movies featuring friends and family to DVD and make copies for your loved ones as a unique and heartfelt gift. All you need to bring is yourself, the VHS or DVD to copy, blank DVD-Rs, and your time.
