Kirkwood Beats Webster 21-14

Kirkwood knocked off rival Webster Groves 21-14 in a fourth quarter comeback. The Pioneers (10-0) will face Summit (8-3) on Saturday at 1:30pm in the Quarterfinals.

  • The Pioneers were held to 71 yards rushing (151 below average) on 31 attempts, but recorded their last four first downs and winning touchdown on the ground.
  • The defense recorded a season high four takeaways (2 Interceptions & 2 Fumble Recoveries.
  • Jordan Bishop finished 12 of 22 passing for 192 yards and 2 TDs.
  • Edward Richey recorded seven tackles, four assists and forced the fumble that setup the game winning touchdown.

 The Class 5 Quarterfinal game will be held next Saturday, November 10 at 1:30pm at Summit High School.  Kirkwood won the regular season matchup 28-24 on September 15.  Ticket and broadcast information for the quarterfinal matchup will be included in the preview article here on Kirkwood Patch!
