Kirkwood Football Wins First State Championship

The Kirkwood Pioneers win their first STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in school history by beating Fort Osage 31-7.

  • RB Ramon Alton - 17 for 92 yards rushing
  • QB Jordan Bishop - 9 of 23 for 146 yards & 3 TDs passing
  • The Indian offense was held to 30 yards on 27 rushes
  • The Pioneers outgained Fort Osage 300 yards to 172 yards
  • Jarrod Bishop, Blake Goddard and Antonio Leachman all recorded 6 total tackles on defense.

Michael, Kirkwood won the state baseball championship in 1961.

Pretty sure Michael meant that this is Kirkwood's first Football State Championship. Implied by the title: Kirkwood Football Wins First State Championship.
