Pioneers Look To Overwhelm Seckman

Seckman (1-4) travels to #1 Kirkwood (5-0) for a Suburban South matchup on Friday, September 28 at 7 p.m. Kirkwood Youth Football players and coaches can attend for FREE!

The Kirkwood Pioneers (5-0) take on the Seckman Jaguars (1-4) at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 28 at Kirkwood High School. Kirkwood will look to replicate their dominating 47-6 win last week over Parkway North.  Seckman had it's best offensive performance of the season last week, but still came away with a 35-45 loss to University City.

The Pioneers prevailed in the 2011 matchup with Seckman 42-7.  Pioneer LB Jarrod Bishop recovered two fumbles and DB Andre Harris intercepted a pass.  RB Ramon Alton led the Pioneer offense with 60 yards rushing and 18 yards recieving and two touchdowns.  Alton enters this season's matchup within striking distance of a major Kirkwood Football record: he needs 110 yards to break the career rushing record held by Michael Tillman (played 1997-1999)

Key Seckman Players:

  • RB Shawn Thomas (#28) - 4 rushing TDs last week vs. University City
  • WR Cody Tolliver (#18) - 23 catches for 271 yards & 3 TD (5 receptions by all other recievers)
  • LB Andrew Kraus (#10) - 5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery & 1 interception
