Mike Bales, Beloved School Resource Officer, Dies at 46
Visitation is Tuesday with a funeral service Wednesday for the former school resource officer for Kirkwood High School and veteran of the Kirkwood Police Department.

Bales, Michael on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. Beloved husband of Teri Bales (nee Doss). Dear son of Bill and Barb Bales. Loving brother of Bill (Jen) and Jodi (Mike) Fitzgerald. Dear grandson of Lori Machland.
Mike was an 18-year employee of the Kirkwood Police Department, including nine years as an school resource officer (SRO) for Kirkwood High School. From 2008-2011 Mike was the director of safety and security for the Kirkwood School District.

Funeral Service Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Bopp Chapel. Interment private. Memorial contributions preferred to Backstoppers, Kirkwood School District Foundation or Humane Society of MO. Visitation Tuesday 3-8 p.m. at Bopp Chapel. www.boppchapel.com.
