Nolan Hansen, Kirkwood High Teacher and WWII Vet, Dies at 86
Nolan Edward Hansen served in World War II before teaching at Kirkwood High School for many years.
Nolan Edward Hansen died peacefully in Austin, TX, on Sept. 10.
He was born in St. Louis on August 12, 1926. He graduated from Maplewood High School, and earned degrees from St. Louis University and the University of Missouri-Columbia.
After serving with the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division during World War II, he returned to St. Louis and taught for many years at Kirkwood High School.
