Patch Pick'em runs along the same lines as the much-hyped college basketball tournament, except it uses local restaurants instead of college basketball squads.

All matchups were found by creating a randomized list via random.org.

FIRST ROUND Patch PICK'EM MATCHUPS—Kirkwood Division

Dewey's Pizza vs. The Village Bar

Dewey's Pizza: Dewey's claims that its pizza has the best crust, tomato paste and cheese. In addition, like the Colonel, Dewey's has secret herbs and ingredients. The only way to find out if Dewey's has the best pizza is to go out and try it.

The Village Bar: The Village Bar was opened in 1948. The bar is made of rich oak and it is dark in color which is customary for bars from that time period. The food is good and the beer is cold. The servers are proud of the rich history of the bar. They point out the old pictures hanging on the walls and tell stories of good times and old customers from times past.

Racanelli's vs. Spencer's Grill

Racanelli's: Delicious pizza, huge single slices or a whole pizza pie that will satisfy a family's appetite. Cold drinks, delicious salads and great appetizers. That is Racanelli's. Before a party, after a party or just for a night out, this is a great place to go.

Spencer's GrillSpencer's Grill is one of Kirkwood's most famous landmarks. Eating at this restaurant is stepping back into time like it is 1945 all over again. Spencer's is open for breakfast and lunch.

The Gumbo Shop vs. Cyrano's Cafe & Wine Bar

The Gumbo ShopNew Orleans has come to Rock Hill. The Gumbo Shop is the most authentic Gulf Shores sea food shop in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. It looks and feels like you have walked the Mississippi Delta and you have just stumbled onto the shrimp and soft shell crab shop. The aroma of the store is intoxicating and the food is Creole. This would be a great treat for the family.

Cyrano's Cafe & Wine BarFor more than 40 years, Cyrano's Cafe & Wine Bar has been a European-style coffeehouse, cafe, dessert spot, and now, wine bar. Previously located in Clayton, Cyrano's has been in the DeSoto building in Historic Old Webster since 2003. Specializing in small plates for lunch and dinner, Cyrano's mixes antiques throughout its hot pink–walled rooms.
