80 Plus Kirkwood Residents Report Fraud From Schnucks Security Breach

Kirkwood police said more reports of fraudulent charges on credit and debit cards are coming in from residents, taking the total received to more than 80.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Between April 29 and May 5, Kirkwood Police said they took an additional six reports of identity-theft related to the Schnucks grocery chain credit and debit card security breach.

This takes the total reports made by residents to at least 81, according to police.

As previously reported by Patch, Kirkwood police had already taken 75 reports from residents who fell victim to fraud from the breach.

Kirkwood police also issued advice to residents on how to handle the situation if they found their cards had been compromised.
