The Des Peres Police Department issued an alert Friday morning warning residents of two recent daytime burglaries. Police said they are now paying special attention to neighborhoods west of Interstate-270.

The following alert was issued by police.

Please note that we experienced two daytime burglaries on Wednesday 07-24-2013 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. One in the 12800 block of Pelham and the other in the 2400 block Camberwell Court.

The suspect(s) took jewelry, coins, and large televisions. The witnesses reported that a four door blue Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable was seen in the area at the time of occurrence. Surveillance photos of the possible suspect vehicle were taken from a surveillance system located in a neighbor’s home during our first reported burglary.

Police are asking residents to report any suspicious activity immediately to the Des Peres Department of Public Safety at 835-6200 or call 911.
