Credit Card, Retail Thefts Investigated by Kirkwood Police

Kirkwood police are investigating after a woman says credit cards were stolen from her purse at a local establishment, while numerous people were arrested for stealing from local businesses.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

March 12:

At 3:09 p.m., a resident reported credit card theft. The victim said the theft actually took place between 9:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m on March 9. She said two credit cards were taken from her wallet while she was at a restaurant in the 100 block of East Jefferson Avenue.

March 11 - March 17:

Kirkwood police arrested seven adults for shoplifting from area stores during this week. Investigators said all of the crimes occurred at retail businesses in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
