CRIME LOG: Rash of Car Break-Ins in Glendale

Losses ranged from nothing — break-ins but no theft — to loss of license plates and an iPod.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glendale Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

June 30

  • A resident of the 700 block of Oakway Place reported persons unknown rifled through her husband’s unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the resident’s driveway, sometime overnight.  Nothing was reported missing.
  • A resident of the 200 block of Park Avenue reported persons unknown rifled through his wife’s unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the resident’s driveway, sometime overnight.  Nothing was reported missing.
  • A resident of the 600 block of Hawbrook Road reported persons unknown rifled through her daughter’s vehicle, which was parked in the victim’s driveway, sometime overnight and stole an iPod and loose change.

June 29

  • A resident of the 900 block of Glenbrook reported the theft or loss of his vehicle’s front license plate.  He was unsure of the date or location of the loss.
  • The victim of the Stealing reported on June 22 in the unit block of Willow Oak Lane reported she discovered additional items missing.  Formal charges are pending against the suspect.

June 25

  • A resident of the unit block of Algonquin Estates Road reported finding a Missouri Driver’s License, belonging to a Pacific, Missouri resident, in front of her residence.  The license was brought to the Police Department until the owner is able to respond and retrieve it.

June 28

  • A resident of the 700 block of Glenway Drive reported finding a Missouri Driver’s License in front of North Glendale School.  Investigation revealed the license belongs to a Kirkwood High School student and is being held at the Police Department pending its retrieval.
