CRIME LOG: Solicitors Without Permit Reported Glendale

Several residents complained to police about solicitors coming to their door last week. The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Glendale police blotter for July 23-29:

Tuesday, July 24

  • A 49 year old Mascoutah, Ill man was arrested at 11 a.m. in the 700 block of Oakway Place and charged in Municipal Court with Operating a Motor Vehicle and Trailer without Proper License Plates and as a fugitive of the St. Ann Police Department.  He was released to St. Ann authorities after posting bond on the Glendale charge.
  • A resident of the unit block of Glen Kirk Lane reported at 8:11 p.m. two door-to-door

solicitors for “Dedicated for Success” without a proper permit.  Two 25 year old men were 

located nearby and advised to cease until they obtained a proper permit. They complied.

  • A 33 year old Webster Groves woman was arrested at 9:49 p.m. in the 1300 block of N. 

    Berry Road and charged in Municipal Court with Driving While Revoked and Speeding.

She was released on bond.

Wednesday, July 25

  • A walker reported finding a ring at 11 a.m. on the sidewalk near Algonquin Estates and N. 

    Berry Road earlier this date. The ring is being held for safekeeping until the owner can be 

    identified.

  • A 26 year old St. Louis man was arrested at 10:07 p.m. in the St. Louis County Justice 

    Center and charged in Municipal Court with Failure to Appear and as a fugitive of the St. 

Louis City Police Department.  He was released to St. Louis City authorities after posting 

bond on the Glendale charge.

Thursday, July 26

  • A 50 year old Warson Woods man was arrested at midnight in the 9800 block of Manchester Road and charged in Municipal Court with Speeding, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Proper License and as a fugitive of the Maplewood Police Department.  He was released on bond.
  • A 29 year old St. Louis woman was arrested at 4 p.m. in the 600 block of N. Berry Road and charged in Municipal Court with Driving While Suspended, No Proof of Insurance, Improper Vehicle Registration and as a Fugitive of the Ladue and St. Louis County Police Departments.  She was released to Ladue authorities after posting bond.
  • At 7:43 p.m., a resident of the 100 block of Trevillian Avenue reported a door-to-door solicitor without a proper permit in his neighborhood.  A 28 year old St. Louis man soliciting for “Dedicated for Success” was advised to cease until a proper permit was obtained.
  • At 8:12 p.m., an 18 year old St. Louis woman was arrested in the unit block of Devon as a fugitive of the Florissant Police Department.  She was released to Florissant authorities.
  • At 9:19 p.m., an officer conducting neighborhood patrol observed a 23 year old St. Louis woman going door-to-door soliciting for “Dedicated for Success” in the unit block of Algonquinwood Place.  She was advised to cease until a proper permit is obtained.
  • A 46-year-old Omaha, Nebraska man was arrested at 9:30 p.m. in the 900 block of N. Berry Road and charged in Municipal Court with No Valid Driver’s License, No Valid State License Plates, False Declaration and as a fugitive of the Clayton Police Department. He was released to Clayton authorities after posting bond.

Friday, July 27

  • At 8:48 p.m., a resident of the 800 block of Lisa Kay reported a door-to-door solicitor in the area of his residence without a proper permit. Officers made contact with the solicitor who had a St. Louis County Solicitor’s Permit, but not a Glendale permit.  He agreed to cease until a proper city permit was obtained.
  • A 39-year-old St. Louis man was arrested in the 600 block of N. Berry Road and charged as a fugitive of the St. Louis City Police Department.  He was released to St. Louis City authorities.

Saturday, July 28

  • A 46 year old Glendale man was arrested at 2 a.m. in the 600 block of E. Adams and charged in Municipal Court with Driving While Suspended, Failure to Dim Headlights, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance.  He was released pending lab analysis and warrant application.
