Crime Log: Thieves Strike Car at Local Dealership

Suspects made off with a navigation system from a vehicle towed to Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge for body work.

The Glendale Police blotter for Jan. 7-13. The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Monday, Jan. 7

  • At 12:40 a.m., a 33-year-old Maryland Heights man was arrested at the Maryland Heights Police Department and charged in Municipal Court with Failure to Appear. He was released on bond.

  • At 3:32 p.m., employees of Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 10070 Manchester Road, reported the theft of a Navigation System from the center console of a vehicle which was towed to their location for body work after an accident.  The theft occurred sometime between Jan. 3 and Jan. 8.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

  • At 2:05 a.m., a 34-year-old St. Louis man was arrested at the Maryland Heights Police Department and charged in Municipal Court with three counts of Failure to Pay Fines and Costs and as a fugitive of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He was released to St. Louis authorities after his fines and costs were paid in full.

Saturday, Jan. 12

  • At 8:07 a.m., employees of an Estate Sale company reported a possible shoplifter at an Estate Sale in the 1000 block of Glenmoor Lane. After confronting the possible shoplifter, employees allowed the person to continue his shopping due to a misunderstanding.
  • At 9:16 a.m., a resident of the 900 block of Victoria Place reported finding a vehicle lockout tool on her front lawn. The tool was brought to the Police Department for safekeeping.
