Webster Police Report Home Burglary, iPod Thefts

The following arrest information was supplied by the Webster Groves Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Webster Groves police blotter for July 3 through July 9.

Tuesday, July 5

  • At about midnight, a subject was issued a municipal summons for using illegal fireworks in .
  • Police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Selma Avenue in reference to a stealing from two vehicles. A debit card and some change were taken. 
  • Police were dispatched to a larceny from a vehicle parked in the first block of Mason Avenue. The victim advised that unkown persons had stolen a Garmin GPS.

  • Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Gray Avenue in reference to a larceny from a parked vehicle. A black FM iPod transmitter was stolen from the vehicle.

Thursday, July 7

  • Police observed a subject sleeping in his vehicle which was parked on a sidewalk at South Elm Avenue and Ambrose Way. The subject was intoxicated and arrested for DWI.
  • An iPod was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Lilac Avenue some time over night.
  • An iPod was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Wexford Avenue some time over night.
  • Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Bell Avenue in reference to shots fired. See for details.
  • Police responded to a burglary that was just discovered. Unknown subjects had entered a residence in the 500 block of Holland Avenue through a basement window and had stolen copper piping. During the theft, they cut the main line, flooding the basement and damaging the furnace and hot water heater. Latent fingerprints were discovered at the scene and police are investigating
  • Credit cards, cash, and a wallet were taken from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of East Rose Avenue.

Saturday, July 9

  • A 1997 Honda Civic was reported stolen by the vehicle’s owner. The incident occured in the first block of South Old Orchard Avenue.
  • A brown satchel purse, credit cards, camera, cell phone and keys were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Glen Road.
  • Following an investigative stop near the intersection of South Laclede Station Road and Laclede Groves, officers determined the vehicle was reported stolen. The driver and two passengers were arrested and charged.
