Suspect Arrested at Kirkwood Pharmacy for Trying to Pass Fake Prescription

A photocopy of a prescription couldn't trick staff at a Kirkwood pharmacy.

A photocopy of a prescription didn't get an adult an extra fill of drugs, but it did get a suspect arrested in Kirkwood.

Police were dispatched to a business in the 10400 block of Manchester Road last Wednesday at 7:08 p.m., after they were alerted to a person trying to use a fake prescription.

Police say employees of the business recognized that the prescription trying to be passed was a photocopy of an original prescription presented to the business a few weeks earlier. Police arrested the adult. The case will be referred to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
