Funeral Monday at Grace Church for Man Killed in Tuesday Wreck

A 2008 Lafayette High School graduate, now from north St. Louis County, was the motorcyclist killed Tuesday afternoon after a chain-reaction crash along Missouri Route 141 in Fenton.

Funeral services for Aaron Becker, killed on Tuesday in a multi-vehicle accident in Fenton, will be Monday at in Kirkwood. Becker, a 2008 graduate of , died in a chain-reaction accident while he was on a motorcycle.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol report indicated Becker, 22, of Florissant, was sitting idle with two other vehicles on northbound Missouri Route 141 at Gravois Bluffs Road at approximately 4:23 p.m. Tuesday.

All three vehicles were stopped at a red traffic signal when the driver of a northbound recreation vehicle entered the intersection and failed to stop. The other two motorists, both from Fenton, were driving a car and a pickup truck.

The driver of the recreational vehicle, Robert Weiter, 49, of St. Louis, crashed into the back of the car and truck, but continued moving and then struck the back of Becker's motorcycle.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Weiter suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Clare Health Center. The newspaper reported through relatives that he was grieving over the incident.

The impact ejected Becker from the cycle and into the path of the still moving recreational vehicle, which then struck Becker.

Authorities said in the report Becker was pronounced dead at the crash scene just minutes later.

He is survived by his mother Anne Perkins, of Rock Hill, his step-father Michael Michenfelder, and father Art Becker. Visitation for Becker is Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. A reception will follow the funeral at Wiegand Studios, 1 Wiegand Drive, Chesterfield.
