Intoxicated Driver Hits Parked Car in Kirkwood

Kirkwood Police Department provides information the latest crime incidents in the area.

The following information was supplied by the Kirkwood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.

Monday, Aug. 26:

  • Identity theft was reported from a resident in the 700 block of North Clay. The vicim discovered a loan was applied for and granted over the Internet using her maiden name.

Tuesday, Aug. 27:

  • Police responded to a report of theft from a vehicle at 2:23 p.m. in the 100 block of South Sappington in Oakland. Electronic items and sunglasses were stolen from the unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway over the weekend.
  • At 4:07 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of East Monroe and South Fillmore. One vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the roadway. Investigation led to the arrest of the adult driver for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The case was referred to municipal court.
