Kirkwood High Grad Slain; Teen Still Wanted for Murder

Kirkwood Police said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Brandon Richards, a recent Kirkwood High School graduate, is reportedly the victim of a murder in Kirkwood Monday afternoon, according to a story from Kirkwood Call.

As Patch previously reported, Richards, 18, was shot and killed in a home on Pleasant Court around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Kirkwood Police are searching for Nicholas Lunceford, 19, who is believed to be involved in the killing. Police said Lunceford is considered armed and dangerous.

Kirkwood Call's report shared an email sent to Kirkwood School District employees about the incident, adding that Richards had two sisters who attend KHS. The email said counseling would be available on campus for students and staff.

Twitter users are also showing their sympathy for Richards' family. @KirkwoodHoop said, "Thoughts and prayers go out to the Brandon Richards family. Kirkwood will again come together during a difficult time," and @MOGirlProbs shared, "Thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of Brandon Richards and the entire Kirkwood community."

Anyone with information about Lunceford should contact Detective Dave Smith with the Kirkwood Police Department at 314-698-3646.

Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
