Kirkwood Man Left Infant at Home Alone, Police Say

The man previously was charged with burglary, stealing two firearms and theft in Kirkwood, police said.

A Kirkwood man faces a criminal charge after police said he left a 2-1/2–month-old baby at home alone.

Anthony M. Johnson, of the 400 block of South Holmes Avenue in Kirkwood was charged Jan. 7 with second-degree child endangerment, a class A misdemeanor.

Kirkwood Police said Johnson left the child at home alone on Oct. 17 in the 800 block of South Holmes Avenue. Police said he was supposed to be babysitting the child.

Johnson also was charged Nov. 8 with second-degree burglary, two counts of stealing a firearm and felony theft in Kirkwood. He is being held in St. Louis County jail.
