The reports continue to come in to police, even now, so Kirkwood police issued the following statement to residents on how to handle the situation if they find they've fallen victim to the fraud.

If you have recently been affected by the Schnucks credit card security breach you can contact the Kirkwood Police Department to file an identity theft report. We term it this since someone is posing as you to use your credit/debit card for purchases.  Otherwise you would have to contact the department where the fraud occurred to file a fraud repot which in all cases so far have been out-of-state.  If you wish to file a report you can simply come to the police department or we can come to you if you live in Kirkwood/ Oakland. You can contact the police department at 314-822-5858.  Any officer is qualified to handle this report for you.

We will need as much info as possible concerning your card- account number, bank, bank card number if possible, type of card (credit, debit, or both) as well as any information you may have about the fraudulent transactions- when, where, amounts, etc.  We will also need, if available, the person from your bank that contacted you or if you caught the fraud and notified the bank whom you spoke to.  While you may not have all of this info as much as possible would be appreciated prior to filing the report.
