Kirkwood Police Investigating Recent Thefts, Including Stolen Car

The Kirkwood Police Department is investigating after thieves target cars in recent crime reports.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

April 8:

At 8:00 p.m., police took a report of property damage to a vehicle in the 300 block of W. Rosehill Avenue. Police said the resident advised they found several screws in the tires of their vehicle causing damage.

April 11:

At 10:02 a.m., police responded to the 1000 block of Cedargate Drive for a report of a stolen vehicle. The resident told police he parked his 2001 white Ford Crown Victoria the night before around 10 p.m. and it was gone in the morning.

April 13:

At 9:00 p.m., police responded to the parking lot of a business in the 10200 block of Manchester Road. An employee said her the door of her locked car was pried open. CD’s and a rosary were reportedly stolen.

April 14:

At 12:53 a.m., police took a report of a larceny from a business in the 10400 block of Manchester Road. Police said the suspect was located at 03:34 a.m., arrested and charged with stealing and minor in possession of alcohol.

April 14:

At 03:28 a.m., police recovered a bicycle lying on the sidewalk in the area of Orleans and Alsobrook streets. The bike was taken to the Kirkwood police station for its rightful owner to pick up. 

April 8 - April 14:

During this week, Kirkwood police report arresting six adults for shoplifting merchandise from retail stores in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
