Numerous Cars Vandalized in Kirkwood, Police Report

Kirkwood police believe a pellet gun was used to shoot out the windows of at least two cars.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

March 16:

Police took three separate reports of destruction of property to vehicles where the incidents happened overnight. Police said windows were broken out of all three cars, but nothing was stolen. The damage happened in the 300 block of West Madison Avenue, the 900 block of Evans Avenue, and the 1600 block of Lynkirk Lane.

March 14:

At 10:00 p.m., a resident reported a damaged mailbox in the 1800 block of Cheswick Place. The resident said the mailbox was spray-painted sometime after 6:00 p.m. This was the second time within one week the mailbox was damaged, according to police.

March 11:

At 10:19 a.m., police were called to the 1800 block of Brookcreek for a report of property destruction to a vehicle. The driver’s side window was reportedly shattered sometime over the weekend. Meanwhile, another car with a broken window was also discovered by police in the 800 block of Brookcreek. Police said both vehicles appear to have been damaged by a pellet gun.
