Minivan Stolen From Kirkwood Driveway

Plus, Kirkwood police are investigating reports of identity theft. One resident found multiple computers purchased with his credit card and shipped to Chicago.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

July 29:

At 10:57 p.m., police received a call regarding a possible party in the 900 block of Rochdale. When police arrived several people were leaving the area. The adult resident was issued a summons for minor in possession of alcohol.

July 30:

At 1:18 am police responded to the 400 block of North Clay for a report of property damage to a vehicle.  The victim stated the door handle was pried open.

July 30:

At 7:56 a.m., police received a stolen vehicle report from the 1200 block of Willow View Dr. A 1998 green Dodge Caravan was taken from the driveway sometime overnight. The van was later recovered in another municipality.

July 30:

At 10:42 a.m., police responded to the 900 block of South Taylor for a larceny. Resident stated three 4x4 inch pressure treated wood posts were pulled out of the ground sometime overnight.

July 31:

At 9:33 p.m., police took a report of identity theft. The victim reported her credit card number was used for purchases totaling $200 dollars at a retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.

August 1:

At 2:25 p.m., officers were summoned to a residence in the 300 block of West Argonne for an identity theft report.  The victim reported three computer purchases were made in late June using his credit card number.  The computers were sent to an address in Chicago.

August 4: 

At 10:26 a.m., police took a report of a theft that occurred from a storage shed in the 1100 block of South Glenwood Lane. Lawn equipment totaling over $2,000 was stolen sometime during the three previous days. 

July 29 - August 4:

Kirkwood Police arrested one adult for shoplifting merchandise from area businesses during this week. The incident occurred at a retail store in the 10400 block of Manchester Road. The case was referred to municipal court.
