A 63-year-old man, who left threatening messages for his wife, faces a criminal charge.

St. Louis County Police said Dominic J. Arena, 63, of Piedmont, left 24 messages on his wife’s cell phone in an eight-hour period Wednesday. The woman works in an unincorporated area between Town and Country and Des Peres.

In several of the messages, Arena said his wife would not live to see tomorrow and that he had planted a remote device in her car, according to the police report.

Arena was charged with Thursday with aggravated stalking, a class D felony. He was being held in St. Louis County jail Friday. Bail was set at $50,000.
