Men Ran Out of Store With 36 Hoodies, Police Say

Kirkwood Police said the men got away with the clothing, valued at $1,985, from Sports Authority, but were caught later.

Two men are accused of grabbing 36 women’s hoodies and running out the door at Sports Authority in Kirkwood.

Robert Floyd, 21, of the 2900 block of Aberdeen Drive in North County, and Arieon D. Ford, 20, of the 5400 block of Genevieve Avenue in St. Louis, were charged Tuesday with felony stealing.

Kirkwood Police said Floyd and Ford grabbed 36 hooded sweatshirts, valued at $1,985, and ran from the Sports Authority store at 1205 South Kirkwood Road. Police said the defendants were developed as suspects during an investigation into an unrelated case.

A sales clerk who saw the theft identified Floyd and Ford in a photo lineup, police said. They both were being held Thursday in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $8,750 each.
