Mugs in the News: The Faces that Made This Week's Crime Headlines

The following mug shots were taken from various Patch crime reports between Oct. 13-19.

Information for Mugs in the News is provided by the St. Charles County and St. Louis County law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.

I wish the Patch software allowed for separate comments for individual mug shots like The Smoking Gun website does. Each one has something "special". On the trio busted for kicking in a door and stealing a TV. Ah, Ballwin has gone downhill. What in the world are those two young men doing with that old skunk? Has to be meth.

I noticed many of the people in the pictures have faces with many visible blemishes. Does anybody know, is that a very good indicator of meth use?

Stephen, it looks like she is only in this column for the one alleged incident. It's not clear why she was placed in this column last month and this month. She may or may not be a loser, but I wouldn't be too quick to judge. Sure, knowing which he is alleged to have done, I wouldn't hire her to be a babysitter or whatever, but people do make mistakes and sometimes they do learn from them. Going only by what I've seen and read, it's entirely possible she was in love with a guy who took advantage of her naivety and innocence until she was in over her head. Or not.

She was arrested in a jurisdiction. Other jurisdictions investigating similar crimes now have forensics available to cross match. She got busted in one city then other cities find the first forensics match thus multiple arrests and charges. 2bad4her - she can't get concurrent sentences in separate incidents. Each are tried on their own. Lots more jail time in her future. .
