Investigators have released additional information on a case involving a mother and her two children who were found shot to death in their Glendale home Monday.
Catherine Murch and her children Mary Claire and Mitchell III, ages 8 and 10 respectively, were found in the home at 740 Hawbrook Monday around 11 a.m. Their deaths were apparently part of a murder-suicide, according to authorities investigating the case.
In a news release at 1:30 p.m. today, Glendale police said "approximately 20 Major Case Squad investigators are thoroughly investigating the incident in (an) effort to determine exactly what happened.... Investigators are awaiting preliminary results from the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office at the St. Louis County Police Department crime lab."
Glendale police called for the community to come forward with any information they believe to be relevant and said "this was an isolated incident and there are no indications that neighbors need to be concerned about a suspect at large."
Police officials from Glendale and the Major Case Squad have scheduled a news conference at 4:15 p.m. at the Glendale Police Department today.

KMOV-TV reported on its Facebook page that a news conference was scheduled for 2 p.m. today. However, a Major Case Squad dectective Patch spoke with was unable to confirm the time of the conference. Police instead released the statement and stated that they are not doing any media interviews at this time.
Mitchell Murch, III, the father and husband, called in the shooting and was home at the time of the incident, KMOV-TV reports. He was questioned by police for seven hours and then released.
