POLICE: 2 Home Burglaries, $20K in Jewelry Reported Stolen in Kirkwood

Flat screen TVs and thousands in jewelry were reported stolen from Kirkwood homes.

Police responded to three reports of thefts from Kirkwood homes or buildings last week, two of which were burglaries. The incidents involved items that ranged from next to no value to those worth thousands of dollars.

The following information was provided by the .

  • On Aug. 20, at 11:16 a.m., police responded to a burglary in the 1200 block of Maryhurst Drive. Sometime during the previous weekend unknown persons gained entry into a building and stole food and a potted plant, according to the Kirkwood Police Department. 
  • Later on Aug. 20, at 2:37 p.m., a resident from the 1300 block of Lockett Road called police to report a theft from the residence. The victim reported jewelry in excess of $20,000 stolen within the previous two months.  
  • Last Friday, at 8:34 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 300 block of Alsobrook Street. The resident reported two flat screen TVs were stolen within the previous three days.
