POLICE: 2 Home Burglaries Reported in Kirkwood

Police are investigating a case in which a suspect broke into a Kirkwood home overnight and stole a TV and medication.

Kirkwood police responded to two reports of home burglaries between Oct. 9-13.

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Wooddell Court last Saturday at 7:40 a.m. for a report of a residential burglary.

The victim reported sometime during the previous overnight hours someone broke into the home through an unlocked rear door and stole a TV, medication and other various items from the residence.

The resident was working and was not at home of the time of the burglary. Police are investigating the incident. The Kirkwood Police Department tells Patch that the incident appears to be isolated. 

On Oct. 9, at 10:09 p.m., a resident from the 900 block of Edna Avenue called the Kirkwood Police Department to report a residential burglary. The resident awoke to noises emanating from inside the home, according to police. The resident investigated and discovered a window in a bedroom standing open. Nothing was reported missing.
