POLICE: 3 Arrested for Felony Shoplifting in Kirkwood

The following arrest information was supplied by the Kirkwood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Kirkwood police arrested seven adults for shoplifting merchandise from area business during the week of June 11-17, according to the Kirkwood Police Department.

Two of the arrested face felony charges since the dollar amount of items stolen were over $500. A third also faces felony charges since she had at least two previous theft-related convictions and also forged a signature on a fraudulent merchandise return.

Also, two of the arrested were cited through municipal court for possession of intoxicating liquor by a person under the age of 21 since they stole liquor from the business. The thefts occurred at retail businesses in the 1000 and 1200 blocks of South Kirkwood Road.
