POLICE: Alarm Thwarts Thefts at North Glendale Elementary

Three juveniles and one adult were arrested on burglary and stealing charges during the weekend.

Three juveniles and one adult were arrested on burglary and stealing charges after setting off a burglar alarm at .

At 8:32 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the alarm. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the four males, three 17 year olds and one 21 year old, inside the building.

"They found an unlocked exterior door and entered the building," Glendale Police Sgt. Bob Catlett said. "They attempted to steal items from within the building, but thought better when confronted by police."

The four suspects were arrested for Burglary in the Second Degree and Attempted Stealing Under $500. Formal charges are pending by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
