Police Ask for Help in Catching Suspected Credit Card Thief

Suspect has targeted St. Louis County country clubs, police say.

The  is asking for help in identifying and locating a man suspected of stealing credit cards from the locker room of the  Aug. 23.

Following the theft, the credit cards were used the same day at in Kirkwood, a restaurant in Creve Coeur and an electronics store in the St. Louis area, with purchases totaling more than $4,900,  a statement released by police said.

The suspect has targeted other country clubs in St. Louis County and used stolen credit cards at Best Buy and Target Stores in Brentwood and St. Peters, the statement said.

The suspect is described as:

  • 25-35 years of age
  • Wearing a white-and-gray striped shirt
  • Over the shoulder black bag
  • Driving a newer model white GMC Acadia
