Police Ask for Help in Catching Walgreens Robber

Man used note to steal prescription medication in Kirkwood.

Police are asking for help identifying and locating a man who is suspected of stealing prescription medication from the in Kirkwood Saturday night.

According to a statement released Monday by the , the suspect entered the store at about 11:40 p.m. and walked to the pharmacy counter, where he passed a note to the pharmacist on duty demanding prescription medication.

The pharmacist gave the man the medication, after which he left Walgreens on foot. He did not show a weapon, nor imply that he had one, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40-45 years of age, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall with a pock marked face with bad acne. At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a ball cap, royal blue T-shirt, navy blue shorts and white tennis shoes.

Crime Stoppers and RX Patrol is offering a reward of $2,500 for the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online through the St. Louis Regional Crime Stoppers website.
