POLICE: Drug, Alcohol Arrests Follow Multi-Car Accidents in Kirkwood

Incidents occurred in central and north Kirkwood.

Police dealt with two multi-car accidents in Kirkwood last week, both reportedly involving illegal drugs or alcohol.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of North Geyer Road and Kirkshire Drive for a motor vehicle accident at 6:13 p.m., Aug. 21. According to police, one vehicle was sideswiped by another while both were traveling on Geyer.

Police arrested one of the drivers after he was found to be allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

Then on Aug. 23 at 2:40 p.m., police responded to a three vehicle accident near the intersection of South Kirkwood Road and East Rose Hill Avenue.

After police investigated the accident, the driver of one of the vehicles was allegedly in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested.
