Police Investigating Thefts From Vehicles, Stores

Kirkwood police arrested seven people for allegedly stealing from local businesses, plus are investigating thefts from the work trucks of another company.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

April 1:

At 8:57 a.m., two thefts from vehicles in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue were reported to police. Tools were reportedly taken from two company trucks which were broken into over the weekend. 

April 2:

At 7:51 a.m., police were called about a thefts of a Tom-Tom brand GPS, smartphone chargers, and an Illinois Tollway I-Pass that were stolen from two cars. Police said the two cars were unlocked in an unlocked garage.

April 1 - April 7:

Kirkwood Police arrested seven adults for shoplifting from area businesses from Monday, April 1 through Sunday, April 7. Police said the thefts took place at retail stores in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
