Police Make Drug Arrests, Victim Reports Assault

Monday, March 14

  • Webster Groves: Someone used spray paint to damage the pavilion and restrooms at Larson Park.

Tuesday, March 15

  • Kirkwood: At 7:23 a.m., police were summoned to a business in the 800 block of South Fillmore Avenue for a property damage report. Windows on two separate vehicles were broke by vandals.
  • Webster Groves: A 15-year-old student was arrested for possession and distribution of marijuana on the school grounds of Epworth Children’s Center. The juvenile was turned over to St. Louis County Family Court authorities.

Wednesday, March 16

  • Kirkwood: At 2:24 p.m., a theft was reported at an apartment complex in the 10800 block of Big Bend Road. Sometime overnight several power tools were stolen from a locked storage area.
  • Webster Groves: Two copper grounding bags were taken from an AT&T tower site in the first block of South Laclede Station Road.

Thursday, March 17

  • Kirkwood: At 9:49 a.m., a window was broken on a vehicle parked at a business in the 10300 block of Manchester Road. A wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen from inside of the vehicle.
  • Kirkwood: At 3:39 p.m., money was reported stolen from a business located in the 900 block of South Kirkwood Road. An employee of the business reported a subject distracted him, and, while he was away from the office area, the subject took a money box from the business.  Detectives are investigating.
  • Kirkwood: At 10:50 p.m., officers stopped a motorist for a traffic violation near the intersection of Harrison and Madison Avenues. The driver, an adult male, was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested.
  • Webster Groves: A female suspect was arrested for stealing a purse from a parked car in the 7900 block of Big Bend Boulevard. Charges are pending.

Friday, March 18

  • Kirkwood: At 1:25 a.m., officers stopped an adult male motorist for a traffic violation near the intersection of South Kirkwood Road and Madison Avenue. The adult male driver was  arrested after he was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
  • Kirkwood: At 8:46 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Gabriel Drive for a theft report. The resident reported a GPS stolen sometime overnight from an unlocked vehicle parked at the residence.
  • Webster Groves: Three male suspects were found in Larson Park after hours. All were found to be in possession of marijuana. The suspects were arrested and charged.

Saturday, March 19

  • Webster Groves: The victim reported he was assaulted by a 32-year-old male suspect he met at a bar and with whom he had returned home. The victim was taken to the hospital for facial injuries. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Sylvester Avenue.

Sunday, March 20

  • Kirkwood: Late Sunday evening, around 12:00 a.m., officers were summoned to a hotel in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road for a report of suspicious activity. A strong odor of marijuana was smelled emanating from an occupied room. Officers arrested three adults, one female and two males, for possession and distribution of controlled substances. The case was referred to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.

 Monday, March 14 - Sunday, March 20

  • Kirkwood: Kirkwood Police arrested two adult females and two adult males for stealing merchandise from area businesses. All offenses occurred at one retail store located in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
