Police Warn of Thefts From Vehicles in Des Peres
The City of Des Peres issued the following advisory following two vehicle break-ins and reports of thefts.
The following information was provided by the City of Des Peres Department of Public Safety. Incidents occurred Sunday.
A wallet was reported as missing from a motor vehicle in the 11000 block of Middleview Drive. Miscellaneous U.S. currency and credit cards were listed missing along with the wallet. At the time of occurrence the vehicle was believed to have been left unlocked, with the windows down, and the wallet in plain sight.
Several items were reported missing from a vehicle at a business in the 12400 block of Manchester Road. The victim stated she returned from shopping to find that her door lock had been damaged by an unknown means and items were removed. Miscellaneous U.S. Currency, a wallet, duffel bag with clothing, and bag with sports equipment were reported as missing.
