Purses Stolen from Vehicles in Kirkwood

Kirkwood Police Department provides information the latest crime incidents in the area.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 5:

  • At 8:02 a.m. police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of North Fillmore for a theft report. Two wooden Adirondack chairs were stolen from the front porch of the residence the previous evening.  

Wednesday, Aug. 7:

  • Officers were summoned to an apartment in the 1300 block of Timberview at 1:45 a.m. for a destruction of property report. A neighbor reported hearing a loud noises and glass breaking. Officers arrived and discovered a broken sliding glass door to an apartment. No entry was made to the vacant apartment.  

Friday, Aug. 9:

  • Police received a report of a stolen purse from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of North Taylor at 9:11 a.m. The victim left her purse on the front seat of the vehicle. A window on the vehicle was broken out to access the purse.  A few minutes later, at 9:17 a.m. a second purse was reported stolen in the 300 block of South Kirkwood Road. The second theft also involved a broken vehicle window and a purse left visible inside the vehicle.
