Resident Scammed After Paying For Tree Removal

Plus, Kirkwood police report a disturbance call ends with a chase and arrest.

July 6:

At 7:10 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of South Kirkwood Road for a disturbance.  One of the people involved in the disturbance fled from officers as they arrived. He was arrested after a short foot pursuit for common assault and resisting arrest. Routine record checks revealed he had outstanding warrants from several departments in the area.

July 5: 

At 5:23 p.m., police responded to Schultz Road in Oakland for a larceny report. The resident paid cash for a tree to be cut down on the property, however the person paid to cut the tree did not return to perform the work.

July 5:

At 1:06 p.m., police recovered a bicycle and helmet that was left abandoned in the 100 block of South Geyer. The bicycle was brought to the police station and is there for its owner to claim it.
