Glendale Police Called on Solicitors

Weekly incidents from the Glendale Police Department.

The Glendale Police blotter for Jan. 27 to Feb. 2. The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Jan. 27: 

A wallet was returned to its rightful owner afer a resident of the 100 block of Parkland Avenue found the wallet while walking in the 100 block of Trevillian.

Jan. 28: 

At 9:01 a.m., warrants were issued by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charging Jeffrey S. Kelly, 30, of the 9100 block of Lemona, Affton, Missouri, with Felony Driving While Intoxicated – Aggravated Offender and Driving While Suspended or Revoked, after his arrest on June 9, 2012 in the 700 block of Bismark Avenue.  Bond was set at $30,000.

Jan. 28:

At 4:27 p.m., a resident of the 900 block of E. Essex Avenue reported several bushes on his property were cut down. Police determined an AT&T worker cut down the bushes to access a junction box. AT&T agreed to make restitution regarding the matter.

Jan. 29:

At 4:53 p.m., officers received several reports of solicitors in the area of Glenhaven Drive, Elm Avenue and Edwin Avenue. Authorities said they were attempting to sell AT&T U-Verse subscriptions, but were told to stop until they obtained proper permits.

Jan. 30

At 12:30 p.m., police were contacted by a resident of Flynn Forest Lane who reported a “pushy” home improvement solicitor. Police located the man and advised him to stop until he obtained a proper permit.

Feb. 2:

At 11:09 p.m., police searched the area around the 100 block of N. Sappington Road after passing Motorists reported 5-6 juveniles throwing snowballs at vehicles. The juveniles were not located, according to authorities.

Feb. 2:

At 7:33 a.m., a resident of the 1000 block of Chelsea contacted police to report a large rock was thrown at his home overnight. The home suffered no permanent damage.
