Woman's Wallet Stolen, Credit Cards Used for Fraudulent Purchases

Kirkwood police report recent thefts, including a wallet and shoplifting which led to arrests.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Monday, Feb. 18:

At 12:46 p.m., police were contacted by a female who reported her wallet was stolen from her purse at a party on Saturday, in the 600 block of East Madison Avenue. She said a credit card in the wallet was used to make fraudulent purchases at two different places in unincorporated St Louis County.

Thursday, Feb. 21 - Friday, Feb. 22:

Police report assisting numerous drivers and handling several traffic accidents related to hazardous driving conditions due to last week's inclement weather. Police also stated there were no injuries reported.

Monday, Feb. 18 - Sunday, Feb. 24:

Throughout the week, police arrested three adults for shoplifting from a business in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.  All cases were referred to municipal court.
