Thieves Break Into Car, Then Use Stolen Set of Keys to Make Off With Man's Other Vehicle
Police suspect the thieves stole the man's car from his garage when he was reporting a theft from his other vehicle.
A Glendale man likely was the victim of two crimes committed by the same set of thieves last week when suspects broke into one of his vehicles and then used a set of keys and personal information to steal his other car.
The victim was dining at a restaurant in St. Louis City last Thursday when his car was broken into between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., according to police.
Knowing a set of keys and personal information was in the car, he called his neighbor to check on his 2012 Chevy Cruz parked in the garage of his home in the 900 block of Chelsea Avenue. The neighbor found that the car had been stolen and reported the incident to Glendale police, Sgt. Bob Catlett told Patch.
