Thieves Target Cars on Oakland and Trellis

Kirkwood police are investigating a number of recent thefts from cars, including two areas hit multiple times in the same night.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

July 24:

Beginning at 8:20 a.m., police received four reports of thefts from vehicles.  Locations for the thefts included the 1000 block of Oakland Avenue and the 900 block of Trellis, both in Oakland. Change, sunglasses, and other miscellaneous items were stolen from the vehicles.

July 22:

At 4:31 p.m., police responded to the 11200 block of Manchester Road for a vehicle that had been damaged. The owner stated the door handle to the driver door had been damaged. The glove box to the vehicle had been rummaged through, but nothing was missing from the vehicle.
