Thieves Target Kirkwood Businesses

Kirkwood police are investigating after local company credit cards were used for more than $3,000 in fraudulent charges.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

May 21: 
At 10:05 a.m., police handled a fraud report in the 700 block of East Monroe in Oakland. The victim reported approximately $3,000 of fraudulent charges were made using a business credit card account.

May 23: 
At 11:19 a.m., a business owner in the 300 block of West Adams reported fraud. The owner said he discovered several fraudulent transactions over the internet using the business’ credit card.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Kirkwood Police Department at 314-822-5858.
