Traffic Stops Land Stolen Goods, Car in Hands of Police

Glendale police report finding stolen items shortly after the alleged crime and a stolen car, all as a result of recent traffic stops.

The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 15:

At 2:21 a.m., a stolen vehicle reported on Sunday, March 10 was recovered by East St. Louis police during a traffic stop.  Authorities said a 28-year-old Florissant man and a 25-year-old Maryland Heights man were taken into custody by police at the time of the traffic stop. Kirkwood police stated they are wanted for questioning in this matter, but did clarify whether charges were filed.

At 11:35 p.m., officers made a traffic stop at N. Berry Road and W. Kirkham Avenue. The two juvenile males from Rock Hill had allegedly just stolen items from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Andrew Drive, police stated. The two were booked on suspicion of stealing over $500 and curfew violation. They were later released to their parents.
