Unlocked Cars Targeted by Thieves in Kirkwood

Kirkwood police are investigating a number of recent thefts from unlocked cars. In one instance, thieves targeted multiple cars in one night.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

March 23:

Police received several reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the 200 block of South Woodlawn Avenue, 400 block of East Monroe Avenue and the 400 block of East Madison Avenue. Authorities stated that the stolen items include money, a MacBook Pro laptop, clothing and CDs.

March 20:

At 08:11 a.m., a resident of the 1200 block of North Harrison Avenue said a screwdriver and wrench were stolen from his car which had its window down.
