A witness was able to provide the Kirkwood Police Department with the vehicle's license plate number, according to Det. Dave Smith.

Kirkwood officers asked St. Louis Metropolitan police to assist in visiting the home of the registered owner. The owner was contacted and later responded to the Kirkwood Police Department with her vehicle for further investigation.
